A night at the Metropolitan

Played a solo set at the Metropolitan last night, for Portobello Acoustic Sessions. Really beautiful venue, upstairs in their lounge area. Great sound, and a different way to run a night... four artists doing two short sets each, so we all got to hear eachother's sets and the audience got the chance to hear a bit of everything. Audience was quiet during songs and seemed to enjoy both sets. My second set was definitely better than the first and the place had got a bit busier too. Generally a good atmosphere and nice to be playing with other singer-songwriters on a matched bill; always good to chat and see what others are up to as well. First time I've played as 'Hey, Sleeper' rather than my own name - sounds a bit silly out loud but it works.
Looking into doing some kind of video for 'Pi', probably just a performance recording if we can find a cool location. Will spend the rest of the month working on stuff like that and writing, as next gig is with Bethany in Bristol - playing towards the end of an acoustic all-dayer at the Fleece, details to follow!
Have a lovely weekend
Luke
